Style "Sisters" Gift Guide 2024
Nov 15, 2024"Have fun with fashion" has been on my Do Something List since 2020. It's been a lot of fun, but it's also transcended just what I put on my body--it's about what helps me feel like "me."
Here are some of the best items I've purchased, both recently and some good old tride-and-true's.

1) GAP Turtleneck Sweater: GAP has been killing it lately, so you'll see them referenced a lot on this guide. I loved the brown and white striped one I got so much that I got a second one in another color right away. (You'll see I bought repeats in quite a few of these items because they're the best of the best.) It's roomy, so I'd go with your smaller size if you're in between sizes. It's such a flattering fit, and can be worn with jeans or even leggings.
2) GAP Barrel Jeans: These are my first barrel jeans, and will likely be the only kind I get--they're just baggy enough to fit the trend, but slim enough to not totally look ridiculous. High waisted, too! I sized up thanks to reccs in the reviews, but I still think you could get away with your usual size. LOTS of women bought these when I shared them on my stories--twin with us!
3) Sam Edelman Boots: I got these because I loved my original pair in black. These are a little bit higher in the ankle, but I grew to like the fit and these are the boots I reach for the most right now. Bonus: they're waterproof! If you want to protect your toes and still look cute, these will be your friend all Winter.
4) Alex Mill Sweater: {splurge} If you want a sweater that you'll love for the rest of your life, this is it. Alex Mill are known for their knits--the quality truly can't be beat, nor can the classic style. The Nico sweater comes in many colors, and I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. Alex Mill almost never does sales, so you'll likely need to pick this up at full price (unless you buy on the 4th of July).
5) J. Crew Earrings: These are LIGHTWEIGHT and so pretty. They jazz up any outfit, which I personally love to do when I have a pretty "tomboy" outfit (read: often). I've bought several pairs and given them as gifts, both in gold and silver.
6) Everlane Way-High Jeans: OK--these are my favorite jeans. I have them in the gray-black wash, but plan to get them in at least 2 more washes eventually. They're very flattering, are comfortable. don't stretch out but also don't suffocate you, are the right mix between straight and wide-leg, and are also not tight OR baggy. GOLDILOCKS JEANS!
7) Rotunda Hobo Bag: I got IG ads for this, and finally went for it. It's nylon straps that got me + the perfectly-bright-red color. Oh, and the tortoise-style band! I use this bag for me, but also to cart around my toddler's diapers and toys when we need to. VERY good price, too!
8) Alex Mill Britt Jacket: {splurge} I got mine in a brown-tan during a 4th of July sale and it's one of the best purchases of. my. life. The fit is SO good, and classic. It goes with everything. The weight is great for a cool day, or even to wear around the house. I'd LOVE to get one in another color someday, it's that good. I can honestly say it would be worth full-price.
9) Everlane Day Glove Shoes: I have these shoes in two bright colors, but I linked the brown here because it's timeless. Flats that are both modern AND classic, cute BUT comfortable? Yesssssss. I do size up 1/2 size. (Psst: I also have these style in multiple colors with low heels.)
10) GAP Cable-Knit Sweater: When I tried this on, I nearly cried--it's THE cable-knit sweater I've been looking for, without breaking the bank. Yes, I got it in a second color (brown, if you must know). I got both in TALL, as I'm 5'9" and wanted to ensure it was long enough in the arms (it is!). I think a normal size would work great for most women. I feel like I belong in a Nancy Meyers movie when I wear this.
11) GAP Mary Jane Shoes: Are you sick of me sharing GAP stuff yet? I hope not, because these have been a surprise favorite. Ruby red velvet???? Yes, please. They're surprisingly comfortable and go with everything, so I've worn them more times than not since getting. Plus, they're a great price for a more trendy shoe.
12) J. Crew Blouse: This is a classic white blouse. And yes, I got it in 2 colors . . . It's both roomy without being a giant bag and the perfect length to be tucked in or not. (Don't you hate it when things are too bunchy when tucked OR when you can't, because it's so short-waisted?)
13) GAP Collared Sweater: I got this on a whim, but realllly loved it. It comes in a few other colors, too--and the brown looks (dare I say it?) beautiful. It's so soft, the arms are long enough for me to not buy the TALL size, and it elevates anything--even barrel jeans.
14) Hobo Wallet: The last Hobo wallet I got lasted for over 10 years, and it would still be kicking if I didn't have to buy a smaller wallet to fit my new smaller purse. This wallet fit the bill. It has enough slots for a reasonable amount of cards + punch cards, a spot for cash, coins, and a sleeve for a driver's license. Hobo wallets are pricey, but in my experience you get what you pay for.
