How do you become passionate about family history? || with Melanie Gardner
Jun 22, 2022Part of a monthly series where we learn from "Progressors" just like you who share how they are growing by doing something.
Melanie is a Progressor, a community member just like you, who has a passion that I, admittedly, do not share. She is deeply knowledgeable about family history. With her competitive drive kicking in, and on somewhat of a challenge, she began to work on digitizing historical records. The connection, and the spark, that she felt from the names and information of these people is what keeps her going today.
You do not have to be a professional genealogist to do this, Melanie maintains that she is nothing but just interested in learning and sharing the stories of her ancestors. Her message is that family history can work for you, there are so many little things that you can do that matter when it comes to connecting to your history. If this isn't something you had considered before, or is something you are intimidated to begin, consider the fulfillment you may find from piecing together your past.
